Over your 12 hour shift, you will have full security awareness and be constantly aware of the ongoing ‘security state’ of the site by continuously monitoring all site security measures and procedures.

Support the smooth running of the inbound and outbound loads into the yard for transport and the warehouse.

Debrief of Knowles drivers overnight & weekends, logging any issues.

Strong PC based knowledge including an intermediate or knowledge of Excel spread sheets and web based systems

Good communication skills

Reliable in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments

Must have own transport, full UK driving licence and ability to travel to work

Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise during shift

Communicate and handover to the opposite shift team member any issues from the previous shift via email or in person

Responding to and dealing with calls or visitors to the site

Warehouse Operatives

Monday - Friday 7.30am - 6pm
Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

The key responsibilities in this role include:

Taking delivery of goods and supplies
Storing of goods
Preparation of stock
Loading of stock by hand, pump truck or forklift
Keeping Warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipment
Use of the correct methods for manual handling
Correct completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systems
Ensuring cleanliness of Stock and Warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)

Must Haves:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Counterbalance experience is essential
Ability to work under pressure to support and deliver were needed
Relevant experience of MHE used by the operation would be desirable
Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours and attitude
Be able to work on your own or as part of a team and be able to make important decisions using you own initiative
Be punctual and show enthusiasm, passion and drive in your role, and be able to embrace change and continual improvement initiatives

LGV Supervisor

Days: Monday to Friday

Responsible for the effective maintenance of the Knowles Transport fleet. Day to Day re-active and proactive maintenance of the Fleet taking direction from the Fleet manager.

Must Haves
– Minimum of 2 year experience or qualification in motor mechanics such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology
– Having excellent knowledge about motor technology and a strong interest in motor vehicles
– Having good communication skills
– Having good concentration when under pressure
– Having good manual dexterity
– Being methodical and organised and able to work to strict deadlines
– Be able to work alone and follow instructions
– Must have own transport and full UK driving licence

Fleet Maintenance

Repair and maintain fleet vehicles.

Performing the following tasks:

• Inspect vehicles to MOT standard
• Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
• Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required
• Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
• Complete all paperwork as necessary
• Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness

 

 

Forklift Drivers

Forklift Drivers

Days: Monday to Friday

Warehouse Operatives that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organisational and communication skills and a flexible approach to work. Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment. Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks is an advantage. The ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers. Ensuring a high standard of hygiene at all times, clean as you go work ethic (damages, spillages and general hygiene are maintained at all times)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a Warehouse environment
  • Fork Lift Truck Certificate, Counterbalance, Pivot, Flexi/Bendi trucks – Desirable: (MEWP) Scissor Lift Certificate
  • Must be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environments
  • Professional in appearance
  • Diligent attention to detail and attention to safety of themselves and others around the workplace
  • Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co‐Workers
  • Highly organised, self-sufficient and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
  • Confident and approachable
  • Chemical and Manual Handling Trained Desirable but not essential as training will be given
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have own transportation to work

Accountable KPI’s:

  • Customer Service – Accuracy of stock levels when picking orders – 98%
  • Quality – Ensure product is loaded correctly and safely for transit – 99%
  • Cost – Ensure safe storage and loading to eradicate breakages – 1%

Key Accountabilities:

Customer Service

Ensure effective and efficient running of the warehouse function and customer satisfaction by: 

  • Taking delivery of goods and supplies
  • Storing of goods
  • Picking of goods
  • Preparation of stock
  • Loading of stock by hand, pump truck or forklift
  • Keep accurate records of stocks
  • Assisting with stock taking as and when required
  • Keeping warehouse and work area clean and tidy through use of chemicals and non hazardous equipment
  • Use of the correct methods for manual handling
  • Use of automatic wrapper to correct procedure
  • Completion of relevant paperwork
  • Correct completion of the picking and unloading paperwork and IT based systems
  • Ensuring cleanliness of stock and warehouse (this includes cleaning spillages and damages as they happen or on discovery)

Communication

  • Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problem that may arise with paperwork
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone

Teamwork

  • Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Transport Ltd teams
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely and securely and reporting of any concerns or near misses to the Site Manager
